Reporting to the Director of Clinical Services the Chief Clinical Dietitian is responsible for the overall organization and administration of Clinical Nutrition Services to assure that nutritional needs of the patient are met.
Principle Duties:
- Develops, implement and updates internal policies and procedures
- Establishes and maintains communication with medical nursing and administration concerning the nutrition related issues.
- Directs and coordinates activities of Clinical Nutrition staff
- Develop quality standard of nutritional care
- Control department resource through appropriate planning, utilization, evaluation and data analysis
- Approved menu changes in collaboration with Food Services
- Approves the Diet Manual
- Maintains JCIA standards
- Coordinates the training programs of Dietetic Interns, Saudi Career Development Program
- Evaluates staff and train new staff
- Dedicates 35% of time to participate in clinical duties
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Food and Nutrition froam an accredited institution and completion of Dietetic Internship approved by the Canadian or American Dietitic Associations is required.
- Minimum of three (3) years current experience as a hospital Clinical Dietitian including one year current experience in a supervisory/management role in a large North American acute-care hospital.
