The King Fahad National Center for Children’s Cancer Research in Riyadh (commonly referred to as the “Children’s Cancer Centre” or “CCC”) at the King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre is:
- The largest dedicated pediatric cancer and blood disorders program in the Arabian Peninsula.
- The largest pediatric stem cell transplant center in the region (it performed 114 stem cell transplants in 2006 alone).
- The regional referral centre for complicated non-malignant hematological disorders.
The aim of the Walk-in Clinic is to provide treatment and supportive nursing care for pediatric Hematology/Oncology patients. Patients are assessed and sorted according to medical acuity, not in order of arrival
Type of service: Include but not limited to:
Acute Febrile illness; Dehydration Vomiting and diarrhea; Allergic Reaction; Oncology emergencies.
Hours of Operation
Saturday to Tuesday 07:30-1400
Wednesday 07:30-1300
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree or Diploma in Nursing, and
- Current nursing (RN) license in Canada or the United States, and
- A minimum of two years current experience as a Registered Nurse, of which at least one must be in the specialty area, working in a mid- to large-sized acute-care hospital in North America.
