The Rashid hospital trauma center provides a comprehensive emergency service to all patients presenting to the department on a 24 hours basis. The Emergency Department at Rashid hospital is one of the busiest in the UAE, seeing over 140,000 patients in 2009. All patients with the exception those attending See and Treat are triaged according to the Canadian CTAS 5 level triage system which ensures priority access to care is given based on acuity. The department is able to provide rapid resuscitation and stabilization of critically ill patients and provides advance trauma care to adults and paediatric patients. The department provides disaster care and is the first line responder facility in the event of a Major Incidence and to the Dubai Airport.

Requirements:
- Medical Degree from a North American accredited medical school
- Post-Graduate qualification in Emergency Medicine
- American Boards or Canadian CCFP-EM or FRCPC in Emergency Medicine
- Minimum three years experience in a teaching trauma center. Management experience within the ED would be an asset. BCLS/ACLS is desirable
