The Rashid Hospital is a 600-bed tertiary-care hospital. The Rashid Trauma Centre is part of the Rashid Hospital. It houses facilities for emergency medicine, surgery, and ICU and treats adults and children suffering multiple traumas. The Trauma Centre has approximately 135,000 ER patient visits per year, with an admission rate of approximately 10%.
Reporting to the Nurse Manager, the Charge Nurse, Operating Room, coordinates overall clinical activities on a specific shift. Is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care. Participates in the development of standards, procedures and protocols.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree or Diploma in Nursing, and
- Current RN licensure from Canada or USA.
- A minimum of three to five years current experience as a Registered Nurse in the specialty area (this experience must include scrubbing and circulating for trauma cases) working in a Level I Trauma hospital in North America.
- Experience as Charge Nurse required.
